ILOILO City – Rescuers in Calinog, Iloilo were searching for a resident of Barangay Alibunan who has gone missing.

But the search was seen to be a challenge – the rescuers have identified the missing person only as “Nok-nok.”

From what the Calinog police station had so far gathered, the 30-year-old Nok-nok went fishing with two others at the Alawihan River at around 12 p.m. on Tuesday.

They were trying to cross the river in the middle of the rain when Nok-nok accidentally slipped and was swept by the strong current.

Calinog police officers and rescuers launched a search and rescue operation.

The search for Nok-nok continues as of this writing. (With Panay Balita/PN)
