ILOILO City – Police arrested a laborer from Barangay Dongon East, Numancia, Aklan.
Florinel Mingote, 44, was charged with violating the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act of 2004 (Republic Act 9262) and the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act (Republic Act 7610), a police report showed.
The cases against him were lodged at the Regional Trial Court Branch 1 in Batangas City.
Presiding Judge Florencio Arellano issued the warrant of arrest against the suspect on Sept. 1, 2011 yet.
Operatives from the police stations in Buan, Batangas and Numancia, Aklan served Mingote the warrant at around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Judge Arellano set the bail bond for the suspect’s temporary liberty at P24,000 for the RA 9262 charge and P80,000 for the RA 7610 case.
The Numancia police station took Mingote in custody./PN
