EIGHT members of the Taekwondo Association of Passi City (TAPC) bagged a medal each in the Dinagyang Regional Taekwondo Championships at the Western Institute of Technology covered gym in Iloilo City.
They took home four gold, two silver and two bronze medals during the Saturday event, according to Passi City Sports Development Officer III Randy Palomaria.
Carl and Mark Batulayan, Allamelech Jannu Palmares, and Lydzx Loel Besares captured the gold medals for the lean Passi delegation handled by Ben Capadosa.
Taking home the silver were Issa Loureen Agudo and Leigh Yvaine Cia while settling for a bronze medal finish were Bon Ines and Alliah Raye Palomaria.
Palomaria told Panay News the TAPC’s participation was not easy as they were engaged in tough competition against jins from the province.
“We are contented with our achievement since almost all of the players we sent won medals,” Palomaria said. “It motivates the players to improve further.”
“We are also thankful to the TAPC, especially coach Ben Capadosa, president Janice Jennifer Palmares and treasurer Pinky Cia for building this team to represent [Passi],” he added./PN
