I WAS already on the other side of the world, in the United States: the land of the free — where people are very liberated, so free and fearless; the home of the brave — people brave and fearless (even shameless!), and not shy to show off their naked bodies and genitals.

Well, welcome to America. Welcome to Hollywood! Welcome to L.A., home and birthplace of the first porn videos!

AOL Gay 30s was much easier to get into (penetrate — if you dare), but the chatroom can hardly keep my interest because most of the people there were just big queens and screamers. Like, they think they are drag queen superstars and gay icons, whose ideas were the only ones that mattered.

When someone makes a comment, someone is bound to one-up that. Like everyone has the obligation to top everything posited. Everybody wanted to have the last word. And no one would give in. Everyone wanted to be queen, and rule. And so, they fought like cats in heat. In their chats, I could feel their long nails, and I could almost see their taloned-hands ready to claw someone, and everyone.

In my mind, they are bitter faggots. But of course! What else can you expect of gays in their 30s who are without boyfriends, or with boyfriends no longer, or simply dumped by their boyfriends? That was the demographic in the chatroom. Which makes sense, because why would you be in a gay chatroom if you have a gorgeous boyfriend?

If AOL Gay 20s is spritely and eager Spring, AOL Gay 30s is definitely hot, showy, and screamy Summer.

There’s hardly anyone in AOL Gay 40s. Sometimes, it’s just three of us. And I’m the third wheel. When nobody talks to me, I just think that the other two were probably instant messaging each other. When they could not agree on anything, or whatever deal it was, they would chat me up by instant messaging.

Well, I don’t like being a second choice, so I would often just leave the chatroom.

In my mind, gays in their 40s already have happy relationships, and do not need chatroom friends. They really don’t have the time to chat with strangers. Really, I just feel that something is fishy about gay people in their 40s looking for sex online.

In AOL Gay 50s, the topic of discussion ranged from politics to hair, fur, and manscaping, among many other things. Everyone has a comment and opinion on everything. They blabbered and rambled on about gay marriage, equality rights, and who will be the next president after George W. Bush.

I was a bit amused that political talk even blended with gay men’s preferences about body hair. Should the pubic hair be grown freely — naturally, like a forest? Or, does it need to be trimmed, and manicured — like a well-mown lawn or garden grass? (To be continued/PN)
