BACOLOD City – A couple was arrested in drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Zone 5, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
Cadiz City police head Chief Inspector Rocky Desear identified the suspects as the 40-year-old Enrique Asis and wife Anna, residents of the village.
A team led by Senior Inspector Alfred Garcia arrested the couple around 11 p.m. on Saturday.
Recovered from the couple’s possession were five sachets of shabu, P500 marked money, a disposable lighter, a tooter, and other drug paraphernalia, police said.
The couple was detained at the Cadiz City police station lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
