ILOILO City – A job hire of the local government of San Jose, Antique was arrested in an antidrug buy-bust operation of the police.
The 30-year-old Lindley Zapanza of Barangay Igbonglo, San Jose was taken to the municipal police station after an undercover police officer bought from him a sachet of shabu for P500 on Monday.
Six more sachets were seized from the suspect’s possession, according to Senior Inspector Marc Dado, San Jose police chief.
The sting operation was carried out in Barangay San Pedro, San Jose at around 6 p.m.
Zapanza worked at the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office. He was placed under surveillance last year yet.
During interrogation, said Dado, Zapanza said his stocks came from Iloilo.
“He is using illegal drugs and the same time he is a supplier in the towns of San Jose and Sibalom,” said Dado.
Zapanza faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
