MUAY Thai athletes from Iloilo and Boracay dominated the Novice and Advance categories in the Visayas leg of the 2018 Muay Thai National Championship.
Winning gold medals in Novice were Iloilo City’s Jaymar Biclar, Shun Barreta, Gabriel Lastimoso, Bernie Centino, Miah Claveria, Normer Lastimoso, Joseph Betita, Simon Octavio, Benjo Querobin, and Jerson Parreño.
Other Ilonggo gold medal winners were Ruoan Palma, Franz Vincent, Faith Aurelio, Nikka Palma, Miah Belisario, Rhino Caspe, Fatima Benas, Rene Enarsao Jr., and Christine Bacalinao.
Also winning golds were Agata Rogalewski, Matilda Lundquist and Carolina Castro of Boracay; Edsie Oso of Roxas City; and Mark Anthony Ninel and Michael Rebayos of Talisay City, Cebu.
Iloilo City also netted gold medals in Advance courtesy of Art Mandal, Christian Rabut and Fritz John Estrella.
Boracay also had three golds in the same category from Liam Wilson, Edyson Serrano and Marco Birch.
The event was held from March 9 to 11 at SM City Iloilo./PN
