RESIDENTS of Pavia, Iloilo and its neighboring towns now have a big new shopping and leisure spot so close to home, as CityMall opened its newest venture in the province on March 23.
Hundreds of shoppers flocked to CityMall Ungka, Pavia on the opening day, excited to see and experience all the fun and spectacle the community mall had in store for them.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was highlighted by a traditional Dragon Dance performance, seen to bring prosperity and luck to the community, as well as the business. CityMall then treated its first customers to performances by singer and actress Janella Salvador of âBorn for Youâ fame and heartthrob Ronnie Alonte, along with promos and special opening-day offers.
CityMall is envisioned to become the largest branded independent community mall chain in the Philippines, with prime location mostly in the Visayas and Mindanao.
CityMall Commercial Centers Inc. (CMCCI), is a subsidiary of DoubleDragon Properties Corp. (DD), and serves as the umbrella company for all CityMall community mall projects in the country. CMCCI is 66 percent owned by DD and 34 percent owned by SM Investments Corp. (SMIC).
Aiming to open 100 CityMalls by 2020, DoubleDragonâs first ever CityMall was completed in December 2014. This marked the start of a series of successful CityMall openings across the country.
