Ilonggo taekwondo jins bag 17 medals in Capiztahan contest

TAEKWONDO jins from Iloilo made their mark in the 2nd Capiztahan Regional Taekwondo Championships after bagging 17 medals.

Mostly coming from Ateneo de Iloilo, they stamped their class in boys and girls kyorugi, taking 10 gold, three silver and four bronze medals.

Ameila Carla Victoria, Jannah Velez, Enzo Lucio Cape, Christian Pudadera, Glaiza Fae Cordero, Crisgel Castro, Julianna Martha Uy, Sofia Jessie Uy, Neilin Jo Samson, and Senddrick Valencia won gold.

Capturing silver medals were Akimeh Demavivas, Joanne Ja Samson and Cheri Nicole Latade, while Josh Karl Macahilig, Jed Pyro Muyong, Red Dyron Lusaya, and Sheine Nicole De Asis bagged bronze.

The competitions were held on April 14 at Robinsons Place mall in Roxas City.

“I am glad because all of our participants won medals,” coach Denmark Pinggol told Panay News. “Our players will surely do everything to improve their performance further in our next events.”

Also serving as coaches for the delegation were Melcris Abas Villarin, Diego Garcia and Christer John Gersanib./PN
