
MANILA – Green Archers United Iloilo FC cruised to its second win in the Youth Football League after a 4-0 victory over Laos FC on Sunday at the Alabang Country Club in Muntinlupa City.
James Carl Tuazon finished with a hat-trick while Jhon Laurenz Calmada chipped in with another goal for GAU Iloilo, which opened its campaign with a 3-1 win over Kaya FC a week ago.
“This win further boosted my confidence,” Tuazon said “My teammates helped me in this win, and I am thankful to the coaching staff for inspiring me and giving me courage every time I play.”
Tuazon, a native of Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo, opened the scoring for GAU when he converted via right foot a corner kick pass from Calmada in the eighth minute. He doubled the edge two minutes later as he drew past three defenders.
The lead went up 3-0 in the 30th minute with Santa Barbara native Calmada drained a shot from a nice pass by Tuazon. Tuazon then registered his third goal in the 52nd minute with a strong right foot outside the box.
