BACOLOD City – Residents of seven barangays in the city availed themselves of free medicines from the Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco).

The villages include Granada, Estefania, Montevista, Villamonte, Mansilingan, Vista Alegre, and Alingalan.

Ceneco general manager Sulpicio Lagarde Jr. said the medicines include cough syrup, antibiotics and vitamin supplements.

Lagarde added that the distribution of free medicines was part of Ceneco’s corporate social responsibility program.

Meanwhile, Ceneco has opened four new payment centers in Bacolod.

These payment centers are located in Barangay Sum-ag, Barangay Estefania, Barangay 16 and Barangay Villamonte.

These are additions to the Ceneco payment center located along Montelibano Street in Purok 2, Barangay Granada.

Ceneco supplies power to the cities of Silay, Talisay, Bacolod, and Bago and municipalities of Murcia and Salvador Benedicto./PN
