A COMBINATION of rain and traffic in Metro Manila can be pretty harsh. Instead of getting stuck in the traffic, Actress Maine Mendoza braved the rainy streets on a motorcycle so she can make it in time for LANY’s concert at the Mall of Asia Arena on July 24.
Posting Instagram Stories, Maine took a video of herself as she zipped through the street wearing a helmet while doing her trademark goofy face. She wrote in her post, “Para kay [tags LANY].”
The American indie pop band is playing in Manila for three nights on their sold-out Malibu Nights World Tour. LANY was originally scheduled to play two nights – on July 24 and July 25. Due to public demand, concert promoter MMI Live announced last February 2019 that they added an extra date on July 23 to accommodate more fans.
It’s not LANY’s first time to perform in the country. In March 2017 they performed at the Wanderland Music Festival, which was followed by a series of mall shows in the same year. In 2018, the band returned to Manila for a concert at the Araneta Coliseum. (Cosmo.ph)
