Bacolod City – A man was hacked in Barangay Balingasag, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
The 26-year-old resident Julio Pareja sustained hack wounds on the body, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as 35-year-old resident Jun Troy Maquiling.
According to police investigators, Pareja was on his way home when Maquiling hacked him on Dec. 25. But the motive in the incident was not immediately established.
Pareja was rushed to the Bago City Hospital but was later transferred to the South Bacolod General Hospital here for medical treatment.
Officers of the Bago City police station conducted a manhunt operation against Maquiling, who fled after the incident./PN
