Bacolod City – Charged with child abuse, a woman was nabbed in Barangay Poblacion, Toboso, Negros Occidental.
The 43-year-old resident Joana Dumdum was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 3:20 p.m. on Jan. 6, a police report showed.
Officers of the municipal police station served the warrant issued by Judge Amy Avellano of the Regional Trial Court Branch 58 in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental dated Dec. 5, 2019.
Dumdum was detained in the lockup facility of the Toboso police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The court recommended a P200,000 bail bond for the suspect’s temporary liberty./PN
