MANILA – Taekwondo jins of the Mark V. Pinggol Gym won five medals in the 2020 SMART/MVP Sports Foundation/PLDT Home Ultera National CPJ (Carlos Palanca Jr.) taekwondo championships at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall in Pasay City over the weekend.
The jins bagged home two gold medals, two silvers and a bronze in the two-day Philippine Taekwondo Association black belters-exclusive event.
Cyd Edryc Esmaña captured a gold medal in the individual male cadet black belt poomsae, while Sheine Nicole De Asis also finished with gold in the elementary girls’ blackbelt kyorugi.
Samantha Gayle Go ended up with silver medal in the elementary girls’ black belt category, while her sister Sophia Grace ended her performance on the same note in the cadet girls’ black belt category.
Angela Joy Marie Bermejo, meanwhile, was the lone bronze medal taker for the Iloilo representatives, winning in the junior female black belt category.
