ILOILO – A Tagalog-speaking robber carted away jewelry items and electric gadgets from a house in Barangay Abilay, Oton town.
The robber also harmed a 16-year-old girl.
The burglary happened at around 2:30 a.m. on March 5.
According to Iloilo Police Provincial Office director Police Colonel Paul Kenneth Lucas, the sleeping teenager was awakened by the knife-wielding masked robber.
The girl was hogtied.
“May konting bruises lang ang victim but safe. Walang nangyari sa kanya,” Lucas said.
The robber demanded from the girl, “Saan ang alahas ni mama mo?”
The robber was able to flee with assorted jewelry items worth P100,000; an iPhone 11 worth P54,000; a laptop worth P25,000; and a Jansport backpack containing personal belongings.
Initial investigation showed the suspect gaining entry from the back of the house./PN
