Security guard stabbed dead

SAN JOSE, Antique – A security of a shopping mall was stabbed dead on T.A. Fornier St., Barangay 2 here.

The 26-year-old June Sarte of Barangay Ramon Magsaysay, San Remigio, Antique succumbed to stab wounds on the chest and back.

Police tagged the suspect as 27-year-old tricycle driver Marion Armonio of Purok 7, Barangay 1 in this town.

According to police investigation, Sarte and Armonio figured in a heated argument that ended with the latter stabbing the former using a bladed weapon around 2:40 p.m. on March 11. The suspect then fled on board a motorcycle. It was not immediately established what triggered the altercation.

Sarte was brought to Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital in this town where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
