BACOLOD City – Crossing the road turned fatal for a man in Barangay Poblacion, San Enrique, Negros Occidental.
The 51-year-old resident Ronilo Chin sustained head and body injuries, police said.
According to police investigators, Chin was crossing the road when he was hit by a bus driven by 51-year-old Jonathan Bartolome of Barangay Camindangan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental around 8:30 p.m. on March 12.
Chin was rushed to the Valladolid District Hospital where he died while being treated.
Bartolome, meanwhile, was detained in the lockup facility of the San Enrique municipal police station, facing charges./PN
