BACOLOD City – For allegdly cursing a
police officer, a doctor was arrested at a quarantine checkpoint in Barangay
Bata.
Police withheld the name of the 44-year-old physician from Talisay City, Negros
Occidental.
The doctor was looking to have his bicycle fixed in the city but was denied entry by the policeman.
This prompted the doctor to utter defamatory words to the police around 4:20 p.m. on April 4, a police report showed.
The physician was detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 3, facing charges for oral defamation and resistance and disobedience to a person in authority or the agents of such person./PN
