ILOILO City – Police arrested a man for illegal possession of firearm at a checkpoint in Barangay San Antonio, Ajuy, Iloilo.
An improvised 12-gauge shotgun loaded with several live bullets was recovered from 48-year-old Edwin Allada when police manning a checkpoint frisked him around 7:35 a.m. on Aug. 5, a police report showed.
Allada was detained in the Ajuy police station lockup cell.
He was facing charges for violation of the election gun ban and Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
