ILOILO City – Four persons were caught engaging in illegal cockfighting in Barangay Dalipdip, Altavas, Aklan.
Police identified them as Michael Dela Cruz, 33; Sony Ambrocio, 33; Stephen Mart Lopez, 20; and Domiros Oria, 31.
The suspects – all residents of the village – were nabbed around 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 30, a police report showed.
Recovered from their possession were four game fowls and P1,000 bet money, it added.
The suspects were detained in the lockup facility of the Altavas municipal police station, facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974./PN
