ILOILO City – The provincial government of Capiz is preparing a housing facility for health care workers serving at the frontlines of coronavirus disease 2019 battle.
The northwest entrance portion of the Capiz Villareal Stadium has been transformed into a housing facility.
According to the Capiz Kabalaka Information Center, local authorities have prepared a total of 16 cubicles and two comfort rooms.
The facility will be home to frontliners who are assigned to look after asymptomatic COVID-19 patients.
The provincial government wants frontliners to be comfortable while carrying out their task.
Based on Sept. 12 data of the Capiz Provincial Health Office, there are now a total of 279 confirmed cases in the province.
Of the total cases, 73 or 26.16 percent are active cases, 186 or 66.67 percent have recovered, and 20 or 7.17 percent died.
Of the 73 active cases, 17 are symptomatic while 56 are asymptomatic. There are 21 COVID-19 patients admitted at the hospital, 14 are on home quarantine, 13 are on barangay/municipal/city temporary treatment and monitoring facilities (TTMF) and 25 at provincial TTMF./PN
