DESPITE the ongoing threats brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) 6 conducted a blended oath-taking ceremony for the six promoted employees from the regional office and PENR Offices of Guimaras and Negros Occidental on Oct. 08, 2020 at the DENR Activity Center.

“Since you are promoted even at this time of pandemic, you must work to become extraordinary employees –because extraordinary times call for extraordinary efforts as government employees,” said DENR 6 Regional Executive Director (RED) Francisco E. Milla, Jr. in his inspirational message to the newly promotes employees.
He also reminded them that “rank does not confer privilege or give power. It imposes responsibility” as he encouraged them to always give their best in their work performance.
The promoted employees were evaluated and interviewed by the Regional Human Resources and Management Promotion and Selection Board, chaired by the Assistant Regional Director for Management Services Raul L. Lorilla and vice-chaired by Chief, Enforcement Division, June Melissa Garol.
RED Milla also related to the newly promoted employees that the Department has been awarded by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) with Bronze Award for Maturity Level 2 of the PRIME-HRM last Sept. 24, 2020. The citation thereby granted the Department the privilege to approve appointments, subject to post audit. He mentioned that we should maintain the status under Level 2.
“We could not have achieved it without you. The award was actually the result of all of us working together. So, congratulations to the promoted employees, and congratulations to the DENR Region 6,” he added. (DENR 6)
