HURRAY, here comes the weekend! So how have you been in the past days? We just want to catch up with your comfort. So if today’s your *free, serene* time, are you up for some merienda later? We list down Top 10 simple yet drool-worthy combinations you should gift to your taste buds in a while.
Ice-fries

How about some fries dipped in a little cup of ice cream? I don’t know about you but I’m fond of trying out these soft sticks (even if clad in super-duper cheese) with my favorite flavor.
Street-sweet

Uh-oh. Not basically sweet. But you know, the feeling of bliss. Lalayo pa ba tayo?Tagged as everyone’s favorite, the yummy-ness of isaw, kwek-kwek, among others: top-tier.
Pande-lomi
You’re sitting by the window. Listening to a soft ballad. Watching the rain as it pours down. While inhaling the aroma of your homemade lomi. Oh yes. Just the perfect time to feel the warmth inside you. Now, it’s called “pande-lomi” because the soup would be perfect with its ultimate match, a hot pandesal!
Ginanggang + fruit juice
Are you familiar with this? Basically it’s just bananas in stick, bathed in margarine, then grilled. You may want to pair it up with fruit juices of your choice. Nyum!
Palabok-gulaman
Okay, I’m getting hungry now. But this one’s one of the best, too. Well, in the absence of palabok, we can have pancit bihon or sotanghon. Of course, pancit canton is a great choice also.
Sa malagkit, sa malamig
We’ll enumerate it anyway. Puto, kutsinta, palitaw, suman, ibos. Tell you, best paired with cool beverages and *fun* conversations with the family and friends.
Banana-craze

Aside from ginanggang, we can’t deny our ultimate fave would be kumbo. To those who aren’t familiar, kumbo is, well, a banana foodie that’s very easy to prepare. We just need some flour, yeast and sugar. Some burps coming! Come and pair it with a small can of soft drinks. Drink moderately though.
Bread and coffee
This may sound so simple but this is easy to achieve. Just grab your favorite bread (mine are ugoy-ugoy, biscocho, paborita). And your favorite timpla of coffee. Again, perfect for the cold weather.
Siomai-love

I prefer thick meat inside thin wrappers. Plus syempre, da-best sawsawan. And what’s my favorite mix? Just the usual, plus spicy bagoong. We canadd up some cool beverage, too. Extraordinary nyum.
Batchoy-puto combo

Of course! Our merienda god. With its hot kaldo, plus matched with puto, what an awesome chance to get the warmth you deserve. Just irresistible. Dive into the goodness now. Happy eating!/PN
