LOS Angeles Lakers saw their championship roster diminish as veteran players Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley and Dwight Howard move to Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers, respectively.
In a report by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Rondo agreed to a two-year, $15 million contract with the Hawks while Bradley moved to the Eastern Conference champions Heat via a two-year $11.6 million deal.
Howard, on the other hand, went for a year deal with the 76ers after not receiving an offer from the Lakers.
The Lakers, however, made up with the exit with the acquisition of free agents Wesley Matthews and Montrezl Harrell and by retaining the services of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
After losing Harrell to the Lakers, the Los Angeles Clippers made their move with Serge Ibaka agreeing to a two-year, $19 million free agent contract.
Meanwhile, Filipino-American guard Jordan Clarkson will remain with Utah Jazz after agreeing to a four-year $52 million contract extension. He became an elite bench scorer for Jazz coach Quin Snyder as he normed 15.6 points per game off the bench.
In other free agency signings, Gordon Hayward moved to Charlotte Hornets, Jae Crowder went to Phoenix Suns, Danilo Gallinari set for the Hawks and Tristan Thompson to Boston Celtics.
Carmelo Anthony is returning to Portland Trailblazers while also acquiring Derrick Jones from the Heat, Fred VanVleet will still be with Toronto Raptors and Marcus Morris stays with Los Angeles Clippers./PN
