BACOLOD City – Seventeen persons were arrested for alleged illegal cockfighting in Barangay Alijis.
Police identified them as Eduardo Robles, Daniel Moreno, Riolen Adlaon, Romvic Manalo, Roquito Albito, Oliver Albito, Tikboy Binggoy, Narri Perez, Artemio Legaspi, Raffy Olara, Florencio Pastor, Jonathan Sanchez, Edgardo Robles, Ken Octoso, Justin Berueda, Jose Marie Pabillo, and Anthony Lazaro.
They were caught around 1 p.m. on Nov. 22, a police report showed.
Recovered from their possession were two game fowls and P700 bet money.
The suspects were taken to Police Station 7, facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974./PN
