JORDAN, Guimaras – The provincial government may use quick response (QR) codes for a more efficient contact tracing to stop the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Guimaras.
Vice Gov. John Edward Gando said this is now on the planning stage and three private companies have expressed interest to help set up this technology-based contact tracing scheme.
“Para indi na mano-mano. Indi na mag-fill up sang health declaration card,” added Gando.
As of Dec. 8, Guimaras had a total of 221 COVID-19 cases (cumulative, since March). Of these, 205 have recovered and one died – leaving the island province with just 13 active cases./PN
