ILOILO City – Some 2,000 regular employees of the city government will get P15,000 bonus each this Yuletide season as part of their Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA).
“Nagapasalamat kita sa finance committee nga nakahatag kita P15,000. Kon waay guro pandemic, mas daku pa gid mahatag ta,” said Mayor Jerry Treñas.
Treñas added that the release of the incentive is necessary because employees also need funds amid the pandemic.
The CNA bonus was contained in Supplemental Budget No. 11 amounting to P205.56 million approved by the Sangguniang Panlungsod on Dec.10.
Of the total fund, P27.555 million was allotted to the CNA incentive.
The city’s chief executive lauded city treasurer Jinny Hermano and the finance committee, saying despite the pandemic they were able to look for funds.
Treñas assured the employees he will immediately sign necessary documents so the CNA bonus could be released right away.
“Nalipay ako nga ma-release naton dayun. Bal-an ta man sa ini nga mga tion kinanglan sang aton mga palangga nga mga empleyado ang mahatag man sang aton syudad,” said Treñas.
Last year, the city government approved a P47.224-million budget for the Yuletide benefits of its over 2,000 regular employees.
Apart from the CNA incentive, last year’s benefits also included the P5,000 Productivity Enhancement Incentive and Service Recognition Incentive./PN
