ILOILO City – For illegal cockfighting, two residents of Barangay Bancal, Carles, Iloilo landed in jail.
Leonardo Fajardo, 26, and Geronimo Carnaje, 36, were caught around 1 p.m. on Dec. 12, a police report showed.
Recovered from their possession were three live and four dead game fowls, two gaffs and P600 bet money.
Fajardo and Carnaje were brought to the municipal police station. Charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974 will be filed against them./PN
