ILOILO – After more than a week of suspension, the repatriation of locally stranded individuals in the province’s 12 municipalities resumed last week.
These municipalities and their moratorium schedule were the following:
* Badiangan – Dec. 13 to Dec. 30, 2020
* Barotac Viejo – Dec. 14 to Dec. 27, 2020
* Concepcion – Dec. 15 to Dec. 29, 2020
* Barotac Nuevo – Dec. 15, 2020 to Jan. 2, 2021
* Sara – Dec. 26, 2020 to Jan. 1, 2021
* Anilao – Dec. 21, 2020 to Jan. 3, 2021
* Leganes – Dec. 21, 2020 to Jan. 1, 2021
* San Enrique – Dec. 15, 2020 to Jan. 5, 2021
* Janiuay – Dec. 14, 2020 to Jan. 1, 2021
* Lemery – Dec. 11, 2020 to Dec. 24, 2020
* Carles – Dec. 10, 2020 to Jan. 3, 2021
* Pototan – Dec. 18, 2020 to Jan. 3, 2021
The local government units of these towns earlier imposed a moratorium on specific dates approved by the Western Visayas Regional Inter-Agency Task Force (RIATF) through their respective resolutions.
They were among the 20 LGUs in the province that enforced a travel van during the holiday season.
Meanwhile, the eight LGUs with ongoing moratorium were the following:
* Passi City – Dec. 21, 2020 to Jan. 11, 2021
* Dueñas – Dec. 11, 2020 to Jan. 7, 2021
* Batad – Dec. 15, 2020 to Jan. 4, 2021
* Oton – Dec. 15, 2020 to Jan. 4, 2021
* Tigbauan – Dec. 15, 2020 to Jan. 15, 2021
* San Joaquin – Dec. 15, 2020 to Jan. 15, 2021
* Ajuy – Dec. 17, 2020 to Jan. 4, 2021
* Pavia – Dec. 21, 2020 to Jan. 4, 2021

Aletha Nogra of the Regional Task Force for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), each local government officials of these towns cited reasons like disinfection, decongestion and reorganization of quarantine facilities and reprieve for frontliners deployed to manage the arrivals of repatriates in the province./PN
