ROXAS City – It is never too late to help.
To support 39 poor families in the towns of President Roxas and Maayon displaced by Typhoon “Ursula” which struck Capiz province more than a year ago, in December 2019, the provincial government of Capiz distributed 39 carabaos.
Just this Jan. 4, the capitol released 26 carabaos to 26 families from President Roxas.
This livelihood project was part of the provincial government’s Livestock and Poultry Rehabilitation Program for typhoon-hit families that continue to struggle.
Thirteen carabaos were released to 13 families in Maayon town.
The Western Visayas region was one of the most affected areas by Typhoon “Ursula”. Losses in agriculture reached P169 million.
