ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) delivered accomplishments in a special weeklong “Birada Semana” operation.
From Jan. 18 to 24, all police units in Western Visayas waged “focused police operations”.
On the campaign against wanted persons, a total of 157 operations were conducted, with 176 wanted persons arrested.
For “most wanted persons”, on the other hand, 42 operations were conducted with 43 fugitives caught.
On the campaign against illegal drugs, 60 operations were conducted with 82 drug personalities arrested.
A total of 508.157grams of shabu and four grams of marijuana were confiscated, with the Dangerous Drug Board valuing them at P5,461,072.
On illegal gambling, 58 operations were conducted which resulted in the arrest of 193 persons.
On the campaign against loose firearms, 12 operations were conducted and 13 persons were arrested.
A total of 13 explosives and 141 firearms were recovered.
