BACOLOD City – An office at city hall here and the main building of Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) have been closed for disinfection. Some employees tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The closure of the Public Information Office (PIO)-Bacolod at the Bacolod City Government Center started yesterday until April 23.
According to PIO-Bacolod, a staff got infected and has been placed under facility quarantine.
All office personnel will also undergo reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test. They will be home quarantined while waiting for their results.
Meanwhile, Ceneco acting general manager Danny Pondevilla said their main building was closed from April 19 until today, April 20. Five employees contracted the virus.
These employees were assigned at the Engineering Department, Pondevilla said.
However, Ceneco’s Emergency Services and helpline units will continue to operate “to accommodate power related concerns,” he added./PN
