ILOILO City – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Region 6 is welcoming anew come-backing regional director Alex Tablate.
Tablate replaces Director Edgar Apalla, 55, who will be assigned to the national office.
Tablate left PDEA-6 in June 2020. He was transferred to the central agency’s Laboratory Services.
According to PDEA-6 spokesperson Shey Tanaleon, Tablate is arriving today, July 22.
During Tablate’s previous two-year stint in Region 6, PDEA-6 netted several high-value targets (HVTs).
Tanaleon said Tablate will review first the list of drug personalities in the region, especially the HVTs and drug-cleared barangays.
He will also be targeting “new members” of illegal drug activities.
Tablate will undergo a swab test upon arrival and the mandatory 14-day quarantine./PN
