BACOLOD City – A shooting in Barangay 35 here left a 17-year-old boy dead and an elderly woman wounded.
The minor, a resident of the said place, died of multiple gunshot wounds at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital here.
According to investigators, the minor was sitting on a parked tricycle when attacked by two motorcycle-riding assailants using a .9mm pistol.
The incident happened around 6:20 p.m. on Aug. 1.
Meanwhile, 72-year-old Frolinda Ardiente, a bystander, was hit by a stray bullet, police said. She was recuperating at the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center.
As of this writing, the assailants remained at large.
Authorities alleged that the minor was a notorious theft suspect./PN
