ILOILO City – A 37-year-old man was arrested yesterday in Barangay Baje San Julian, Calinog, Iloilo.
Arnold Navigar, a resident of the village, was caught by policemen carrying a homemade firearm, bolo and two knives.
When asked of the gun’s license, Navigar had nothing to show, police said.
The suspect was taken to the police station around 11:30 a.m.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and Batas Pambansa 6 (unlawful possession outside of one’s residence of any bladed, pointed or blunt weapon) would be filed against him./PN
