BACOLOD City – A village councilman was tagged a suspect in the shooting to death of a drunken man in Barangay Mahalang, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.
Esmeraldo Endico Jr., 35, remained at large.
The fatality was 43-year-old Danilo Latingga.
Wielding a cane cutter and bolo, Latingga reportedly harassed residents, including Endico, around 1:45 p.m. on Oct. 30.
This prompted Endico to shoot him, police said./PN
