CAPIZ – The intensified campaign against illegal quarry operations in Capiz province led the authorities to apprehend a total of 19 violators.
Data from the Capiz Provincial Environment and Natural Resources (CaPENRO) showed that from Nov. 8 to Nov. 11, Task Force Kabalaka 6K was able to apprehend 19 violators of the environmental provisions of Provincial Ordinance No. 011, Series of 2017 or the Revised Revenue Code of Capiz.
Of the 19 violators, one had no permit to operate while 18 failed to present delivery receipts in transporting quarried materials.
The violators were from the municipalities of Sigma, Dao, Panit-an, Maayon, Roxas City, Panay, Pontevedra, and Dumalag.
