
ILOILO City – In two separate buy-bust operations on Jan. 30, the police arrest eight drug suspects and confiscated P1,122,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Elements of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) conducted a buy-bust operation at Zone 3, Barangay Sto. Niño Norte, Arevalo district at around 3:55 p.m. that resulted in the arrest of six persons.
The suspects were the following:
* Rosita Macoco, 57, barangay kagawad
* Richard Dipol, 43
* Renerose Macoco, 33
* Michelle Soliman, 34
* Teddy Boy Pitogo, 37, of Barangay Quezon, Arevalo
* 16-year-old male
The Macocos, Dipol and Soliman were all residents of Barangay Sto. Niño Norte.
The recoveries included 26 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing about 55 grams and valued at P374,000.
Meanwhile, at around 8:30 p.m. also on Jan. 30, elements of the Bacolod City Police Office City, Drug Enforcement Unit and Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group, Special Operations Unit arrested Michael Doromal, 18; and John Lloyd Golero, 23, both residents of Eroreco Subdivision, Margarita Street, Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City.
The operation yielded suspected shabu weighing about 110 grams and valued at P748, 000.
Region 6 police director, Police Brigadier General Flynn E Dongo, congratulated the operating personnel.
“Maraming salamat sa inyong malalaking accomplishments ngayong linggo. Ito’y nagpapakita ng inyong dedikasyon at galing sa trabaho. Ipagpatuloy at paigtingin pa natin ang ating kampanya kontra sa ilegal na droga,” said Dongbo.
