ILOILO City – As of April 8, 112,675 learners across Region 6 have so far pre-registered in public schools for school year 2022-2023.
The Department of Education (DepEd) would use the pre-registration data as basis in preparing learning modules, classrooms and other policy planning interventions to deliver quality education.
Region 6 has 4,045 public schools, DepEd data showed.
Here’s the pre-registration breakdown per Schools Division Office (SDOs).

As to grade level, 23,344 learners pre-registered for Kindergarten; 39,047 for Grade 1; 25,832 for Grade 7; and 25,452 for Grade 11.
Hernani Escullar Jr., information officer of DepEd Region 6, said the pre-registration started on March 25 and would end on April 30.
There are no cumbersome requirements. Parents only need to present their children’s birth certificate.
Incoming Grade 2 to Grade 6, Grade 8 to Grade 10 and Grade 12 learners are already considered pre-registered./PN
