153 Capiznons get livelihood aid

CAPIZ – A total of 153 Capiznons benefitted from the Livelihood Assistance Grant (LAG) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office (DSWD) and Capiz provincial government.

Around P2.1 million worth of livelihood assistance were distributed during a ceremony at the Hall of Governors of the provincial capitol on Monday, Dec. 19.

Each beneficiary received P15, 000 as additional capital for their small businesses, which were affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Thirty of the beneficiaries were from the town of Ivisan; 28 each from Mambusao, Panay and Tapaz; 13 from Dumalag; 12 from Panit-an; seven from Pilar; five from Maayon; and two from Dumarao.

Gov. Fredenil “Oto” Castro said there was no politics in identifying the beneficiaries.
