PUMP prices for all petroleum products are expected to increase in the coming week, a Department of Energy (DOE) official said Friday.
DOE-Oil Industry Management Bureau director Rino Abad said there is a possibility that there will be a P1 to P2 per liter increase in gasoline prices.
“Well, posible pong umabot ng P2. Posible lang po, ine-estimate pa natin ito. Meron pa tayong Friday trading price,” Abad said in an interview on Super Radyo dzBB.
Meanwhile, he said diesel prices per liter may also reach P2 while the price per liter for kerosene may exceed P2.
According to Abad, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices are expected to decrease.
“May decrease po tayo, medyo malaki po ito, nasa — aabot ng sobra P4 po ang per kilogram… ‘Yan po ay sa January 1. Ine-expect po natin ‘yan,” he said.
(We have a decrease, and this is somewhat big, amounting to more than P4 per kilogram… This is for January 1. We are expecting this.)
Meanwhile, oil industry sources said that pump prices per liter is forecast to increase by P2 to P2.30 for both Unioil and BioFuel. (GMA Integrated News)
