ILOILO – A man was stabbed to death in Barangay Ungka 2, Pavia, Iloilo, at about 11:25 p.m. on Monday, May 1. The alleged cause was household expenses.
Richard Mambusada, 44, had seven stab wounds. He was declared dead upon arrival at the Western Visayas Medical Center.
The suspect was Gino Lagansua, 25, and the live-in partner of Mambusada’s stepdaughter. They were living under the same roof.
Lagansua was annoyed at the victim for always airing problems with household expenses, which usually ended in an altercation, according to Police Major Dadje Delima of the Pavia Municipal Police Station (MPS).
Lagansua admitted to being under the influence of alcohol on Monday.
Lagansua is currently detained at the Pavia MPS, and the family of his live-in partner is determined to file charges./PN
