ILOILO City – A 28-year-old drug suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Zone 6, Barangay San Isidro, Jaro district.
A police poseur buyer bought a sachet of suspected shabu from Jerry Ledezma Dela Cruz Jr. of Barangay San Pedro, Molo district at about 11:25 p.m. on Monday, May 8.
A total of four grams of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P27,200 was recovered from Dela Cruz.
“Malapit-lapit ni sa duha ka semana ang monitoring naton sa iya asta matigayon ang buy-bust,” said Police Captain Lester Oliveros, officer-in-charge of the Jaro PNP.
He added: “Ang source niya gid is didto sa ila lugar sa Molo kag dira sa Barangay Lanit, Jaro sa kay alias ‘Amo’ tapos mga parokyano niya ni mga tricycle drivers…daw nakasuhan ini siya bala sa pagpangawat.”
The suspect is under the custody of the Jaro PNP and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
