ILOILO City – Around 5:22 p.m. on May 15, P400,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Balantang, Jaro district. Six suspects were also arrested.
The main targets of the operation were Jerodion Galaura Jinon, alias “Boss”, 43, and his son Jaymar, 22, both residents of the above-mentioned barangay.
A police poseur buyer bought from the suspects shabu for P10,000.
According to Police Captain Glenn Soliman, team leader of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit, they were also able to arrest four others inside an alleged drug den.
The four suspects were Jonathan Elisan, 47, of Barangay Aganan, Pavia, Iloilo; Jenefer Estacion, 47, of Barangay Pueblo, Mandurriao district; Joselito Alde, 48, of Barangay Balantang and Greg Emmanuel Antonio, 45, also from Barangay Balantang.
A total of 29 sachets of suspected shabu, weighing more or less 25 grams and valued at P394,400, were recovered.
The suspects are being held at the Jaro Police Station. They face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
