Bacolod City man yields ‘shabu,’ gun in Himamaylan

BACOLOD City – Police arrested a man for possessing suspected shabu and an unlicensed firearm in Barangay Poblacion, San Enrique, Negros Occidental.

The 47-year-old Arvin Soberano of Barangay Granada, Bacolod City was caught around 4:27 p.m. on Monday, June 5.

Himamaylan City police seized around 20 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P136,000 and a homemade shotgun.

The suspect was taken into custody by the Himamaylan City police station. He is facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
