ILOILO City – Over P400,000 worth of suspected shabu and a homemade firearm were recovered from a high-value suspect during a drug sting in Barangay North San Jose, Molo district.
The 40-year-old Sanny Aragonis of Zone 6, Barangay Calumpang, Molo was collared around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 2.
Fourteen sachets of suspected shabu, including the buy-bust item, weighing 60 grams and valued at P408,000, and a .38 revolver were recovered by the Iloilo City Police Office-City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU).
“Dugay man amon transaction sa iya kay nag-board sya sa Molo, pero timely man nga bag-o sya kuha stocks sa supplier nya amo to nadakpan sya namon,” Police Captain Roque Gimeno III of the CDEU said.
Gimeno said their modus operandi was to rent a room where there were many boarders to sell illegal drugs to.
“Naga-rent ang mga drug pushers, especially sa mga madamo man naga-board para madasig pag baligya nila kag indi sila dali-dali madakpan sang pulis,” Gimeno added./PN
