SECURITY personnel of MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) took a pause from guarding their posts in Iloilo City’s vital installations to join the Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela.

While carrying their tools, they diligently cleaned various school zones in Sambag Elementary School.

The significant size of the manpower sent by the company overwhelmed the teachers, effectively addressing the school’s needs in preparation for the upcoming school opening.

According to Edna Dominguez, Principal II of Sambag Elementary School, they are very grateful for every assistance they receive to ensure that the learners are settled once the school year begins.

Madamu gid nga salamat sa management sang MORE Power sa pagpadala sang inyo personnel sa pagpreparar sang amon eskwelahan sa abre klase. Grabe ang kadamuon sang manpower nga ginpadala nila subong nga adlaw,” said Dominguez.

Last year, the Guardians of the Environment began their active role in various corporate social and environmental responsibilities of the company, such as coastal clean-up and tree planting.

“Privilege kag labaw pa, nakabulig gid kami sa pagtinlo sang eskwelahan, paagi sa MORE Power Guardians of the Environment,” said Mirriam Valeriano, administrative staff, Guardians of the Environment.

Apart from distributing electricity to Ilonggos, MORE Power aims to set an example within the Ilonggo community by promoting community stewardship and empowering everyone./PN
