ILOILO – A fire completely engulfed a nipa hut in Barangay Pandac, Pavia, around noon on Sept. 25.
The owner, Jacob Salvilla, told the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) he had lit some wood to boil water. Believing he had fully extinguished the flames, he left for San Miguel, Iloilo.
Senior Fire Officer 3 Edison Gimotea from the Pavia BFP confirmed that no one was injured in the incident. The fire did not spread to a nearby chicken pen./PN
