ILOILO City – Thirty candidates for barangay captain in this city are sure winners in the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.
Of the 30 unopposed, 20 are incumbent barangay captains.
Jonathan Sayno, Election Assistant II of Commission on Elections (Comelec)-Iloilo City, said the said candidates only needed one vote during yesterday’s elections to win.
Among the sure winners are first-timer Dra. Julie Baronda of Javellana Extension in Jaro district and Liga ng mga Barangay president and incumbent barangay captain Ma. Irene Ong of President Roxas, City Proper district.
Other unopposed and sure winners are the following:
